This is a special "double feature" package, containing both One Life at a Time, Mahavir Michael Drumm's feature-length documentary, originally released in 2004 as part of the Greatest Hits of the Kali Yuga package, and The Yoga of Chant, David Silver's best-selling video/DVD, originally released in 2000, that is now out of print. The two films complement each other nicely: The Yoga of Chant, filmed at New York's Jivamukti Yoga Center, essentially recreates an evening of kirtan with Krishna Das and friends, including his interwoven discussions on the power of chant and its effectiveness as a daily practice. Also included are a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the CD, Breath of the Heart (complete with interviews with Krishna Das, producer Rick Rubin and Beastie Boy Mike D.), a lovingkindness meditation led by the beloved American Buddhist teacher, Sharon Salzberg, and a yoga asana demonstration filmed at Jivamukti. One Life at a Time, while it also includes extensive live kirtan footage, takes more of a "backstage" approach, with in-depth interviews with KD, as well as illuminating commentary on his life and career by Ram Dass, Sharon Salzberg, John Friend, Ty Burhoe and others. In addition, the package contains full-length videos of four of the live kirtans that are excerpted in the documentary, with audio playable in Dolby 5.1 or in stereo.
