Martin Stejskal, born in 1944, has participated in the activities of the surrealist movement since the 1960s. He paints, translates from French, writes and prepared several books about magical locations in Czechoslovakia.
Stejskal has organized a number of individual exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has also been the co-author of the hermetically inspired exhibitions Opus Magnum at the House at the Stone Bell (1996) and Cesty za hvezdou (Journeys after the Star) at Hvezda Royal Summer Palace (2004).
